Current Needs Below:

Immediate need-LBR is in need of a used or new SUV,  to be gifted or granted as a tax donation for the transport, live trapping, rescue and transferring of bobcats, lynx, bob kittens and other smaller exotic felids from within and outside of Louisiana. We've had requests to travel as far as Indiana, Nashville, Tampa, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama. We're able to provide this service, but only with reliable transportation. LBR was using a personal vehicle from 2011 to 2016 and put nearly 200,000 miles on a KIA Sorento base model SUV, before it was unfortunately totally in an unfortunate accident in route to a bobcat rescue in Shreveport. LBR stays open taking rescues month to month, many times with only our own help to meet the excess. We do not have a marketing budget, like several of the larger wild cat rescue facilities. We operate with bare bones, minimum. Unfortunately, renting a vehicle to pick up rescues at the last minute is costly and we are in desperate need of a designated rescue vehicle. Please share this need with a dealership or any business or individual with a working SUV that could use their donor vehicle as a tax write off and would welcome the publicity( or remain anonymous). The sponsoring dealership or business can advertise their logo prominently on the vehicle if they so desire. The vehicle needs to be a utility styled SUV capable of driving through mud and forested terrain for rescues and releases, and can be a stripped down base model.
