Grey Anatoli Cross, Grey Cross Studios

Big purrs and blessings to Grey Anatoli Cross, an incredible visionary who created this lovely mystical bobcat portrait for Louisiana Bobcat Refuge to be used as an auction piece in the future to help raise funding for the care of LBR rescued bob kittens, lynx and bobcats in our care.

At any given time we range between 13-16 wild, seized, pet surrendered or zoo retired and rescued, but can hold 20 at capacity, which requires a lot of funding as LBR isn't funded by LDWF or any monthly organization, except our own funds and the kind generosity of others as a 501c3.

Grey was the first artist to independently reach out to us so lovingly with a special piece dedicated to the bobcats. When back lit, the image looks as though it comes alive. It's an amazing piece, just as Grey is as an individual, as well as a kind, and compassionate artist.

I first met Grey when hosting an art exhibit at the Eiffel Society in the Garden District in Nola. His sculpture presentations were unique in that unlike other artists who want you to observe, but not touch; he welcomed visitors to experience his works of art by touching them. He wanted people to experience the full effect of that unique experience and take that special memory home with them.

His works would be wonderful incorporated into an exceptionality focused children's program for schools with special needs or any schools for that matter, including preschools and daycare centers where children's imaginations can take them to far away places. His ability to use various mediums enable his works to be complimentary in hospital or corporate settings, as well as gallery showings or personal focal points in the home. I invite you to check out all of his work at his link above. Of course, some of my favorites have featured wild animals, but that's the wonderful uniqueness of Grey, much like Picasso, he has stages he goes through where varied ideas or imagery inspire and motivate him.
